EDWARD G. RENDELL, Governor HARRISBURG – Governor Edward G. Rendell today appointed Naomi Wyatt as Secretary of the Governor's Office of Administration.

Wyatt, an attorney who has been employed by the commonwealth since January 2006, was appointed as the Office of Administration's deputy secretary for human resources and management on Feb. 5, 2007. She previously served as the executive director of the Governor's Office of Management and Productivity.

“I'm pleased to appoint Naomi Wyatt to this very important position, which is a natural extension of her outstanding work to date,” Governor Rendell said. “She has been a key member of the state's collective bargaining team, helping to identify potential cost savings and efficiencies while improving the operational performance of state government.”

Prior to entering state government, Wyatt was a litigation attorney at prominent law firms in San Francisco and Philadelphia.

In 1995, Wyatt earned her undergraduate degree in English from Yale University and spent two years teaching high school English in Mississippi as a Teach for America corps member. In 2000, she earned a law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law.

Established within the Governor's Office in 1955, the Office of Administration oversees the commonwealth's workforce and provides policy direction, management services and technology infrastructure to all agencies under the Governor's jurisdiction. It also provides direct administrative support services to other organizations in the Governor's Executive Office.
